On August 24, 2015 the Smith-Eslick Cottage Camp was visited by a group of people in Model T cars embarking on a tour of twelve national parks, recreating a tour held in 1920.  The historical society sponsored a community picnic to welcome the travelers and send them on their way the next morning through Rocky Mountain National Park.  Over 200 people attended the picnic and were entertained by local musicians and storytelling around the campfire.
