Volunteer & Internships

Volunteer with Grand Lake Area Historical Society

The Kauffman House Museum is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Weekends in September and on special occasions throughout the year. Volunteers are docents at the museum and will share the area history and information about our collection. There is also a gallery that houses additional exhibits which change periodically.  Volunteers sign up to work three hours weekly from either 11 – 2 or 2 – 5.  If you would be willing to volunteer, please call our office and leave a message at 970.627.8324 and we will let you know when training begins.

The Smith Eslick Cottage Court Museum is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Weekends in September.  Volunteers are also needed at this museum.   You would be asked to volunteer for a three hour a week shift as a Tour Guide, sharing your love of the gorgeous landscapes and fascinating history of the West. You’ll meet vintage automobile enthusiasts and visitors from all over.  If you would be willing to volunteer, please call our office and leave a message at 970.627.8324 and we will let you know when training begins.
